Well-known for its gigantic hall, the Porter Tun and it’s collection of spaces, including the courtyard – on this summers evening, The Brewery transported the team into an idyllic secret garden, right in the heart of the City.
Greeted on arrival with a selection of drinks- bubbly, Mojitos and of course, Pimms, we entered the magically decorated courtyard, complete with glass roof (to guard against those pesky English showers!) To enhance this paradise further, the transparent ceiling was bedecked with flora; handsomely decorated trees, kites and peacocks- a fabulous summer touch!
What would make a summer oasis for city dwellers even better? Grub of course, and we were supplied with a delicious selection! With a sense of Asian Fusion to start, a mini-bowl filled to the brim with crab and noodles was circulated, alongside others providing our taste buds with a treat of fried chicken, on a bed of bubble and squeak as well as sweet corn fritter with salsa! Our tummies definitely weren’t rumbling afterwards and the waiting staff forever attended to our glasses- bingo!
After the champagne had been flowing we were guided inside where the music turned up and the party kicked off! There was even a Karaoke Pod with photo booth option; Carly and Abigail made the most of that! Supplied by Lucky Voice, the karaoke experts, the pod transported you into a singing soundproof bubble, allowing us to sing our hearts out, and no one could hear- perfect opportunity to turn into the next Beyoncé with no regret! (However we stuck with a classic Grease melody – summer loving!).
Ending this showcase with a full dance floor, The Brewery definitely didn’t let the crowd down, perfect summertime evening had by all!
